OVERVIEW

The SMR is pleased to announce the return of the popular two day Target to Patient 2026 (T2P26) conference which will be held at the Wellcome Genome Campus, Hinxton, nr Cambridge, UK on April 20th and 21st, 2026. This is the third occurrence of this biennual meeting which will focus on ground-breaking advances during the following sessions following the drug discovery journey from Target to Patient:

  1. Machine Learning and Target identification
  2. Rewiring biology through induced proximity
  3. Impact of advances in analytical sciences
  4. Complex in vitro models
  5. Improving clinical trial outcomes

We are delighted to have the following plenary speakers:

  • Dr Anne Phelan (SVP GSK target discovery)
  • Professor Dame Carol Robinson DBE FRS FMedSci FRSC (Dr Lee's Professor of Chemistry, Oxford; Director of the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery, Oxford: co-founder and Chief Scientific Consultant of OMass)
  • Dr Cathy Vickers (Head of Innovation, NC3Rs)
  • Dr Malcom Skingle CBE FMedSci (formerly Director Academic Liaison, GSK)

Participants from industry, academia and government interested in challenging the existing approaches to target selection and translation are encouraged to attend, and set the agenda for the next era of drug discovery.

Both audiences, in person and virtual, will experience presentations from our esteemed panel of speakers, participate in live Q&A and panel discussion sessions, take advantage of networking opportunities, poster sessions, vendor exhibitions and on-demand materials.

The deadline for submission is 20 March 2026 and communication of acceptance will be issued by 30 March 2026.

Please note there are a limited number of bedrooms at Hinxton Hall, available on a first-come first-served basis.
