Medicines Research: current trends and case histories
(in association with, and part of, Genesis 2008)

9th December 2008

Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London

In today's climate of restructuring and mergers and acquisitions in the pharmaceutical industry, drug discovery research in the UK has remained high class and cutting edge, bringing new medicines to market. The ‘Medicines Research: current trends and case histories’ meeting is intended to reflect this status quo. Talks include the re-emergence of natural products and use of fragment based NMR in drug discovery, as well as case histories covering the discovery to development of clinical candidates in the areas of oncology, neurology, anti-virals and urology.

As an introduction to the meeting, Drug Discovery Today has made available a selection of past articles by Dennis Smith and others which can be accessed (free of charge) by clicking here
